Vacaville artist featured at Chroma Gallery

Chroma Gallery is proud to present a sumptuous feast of northern California landscapes by pastellist Marianne Post in her exhibit “Very California”. Born in San Francisco, Post studied art and design at the University of California. After a long career in the field of art and design for several major corporations in San Francisco and San Diego as well as principle artist at UC Davis, Marianne has set out to fulfill her lifelong dream of painting her beloved California landscapes.
For Marianne, painting is a passion and a joyful experience, a process of exploration and discovery. Having studied with Susan Oglivie, Richard McDaniels, and Bob Rohm, and working exclusively in pastels, Marianne’s strong compositions display a masterful and expressive rendering of her subject matter, as she captures light and atmosphere.
Drop by Chroma Gallery during the Second Saturday reception, Oct.13, 5 to 9 PM, and let Marianne take you through her visual journey of our Golden State in pastel, or see the exhibit from October 11 through November 4, 2007.
