Dynamic Composition One Day Workshop
In this workshop you will not only learn the principles behind designing and planning a painting but how and when to integrate these concepts into a dynamic finish. In this 4 week series of classes you will explore different techniques with the versatile medium of soft pastel. In each session a new approach will be introduced in paint along demos.
Aug 6: It’s a Wash: Begin with a wash of color to create drips and textures that will impart depth and variety
Aug 13: Expressive Strokes: Loosen up your approach and explore the richness of color and texture using just broad strokes
Aug 20: Frameless Pastels: learn a technique that eliminates the need for mats and glass on your pastel works
Aug 27: Acrylics & Pastels: Take your pastels to the next dimension with impasto techniques
